Blog Swap: A Fellow Super-Mama, Carissa of Lowercase Letters

March 9, 2010

Photobucket
So since Carissa of Lowercase Letters and I both decided that we would totally be real life friends…we decided to do a blog swap! This girl is amazing..besides being the worlds best commenter..(i don’t know how she does it she is the commenting queen…so many!!) She is the mommy of a cute little boy and has a little girl on the way. I’m slightly jealous that she is further along than me..she is near the end!! But i get so much inspiration from her blog..mom encouragement/advice.. and i love the look of her site.
We asked each other 5 questions and are both posting our answers today on our blogs! check her out!! to view my q.&a. go here

1.  How did you end up  in the blogging world?i started a {lame} blog over 2 years ago.  i journaled my pregnancy with my first child…  i wanted my family from afar to feel apart of our lives.

2. What is your best mom tip/advice?

relax… it’s more important that your hubby and kids know they are loved by you than having a squeaky clean house to live in.  they aren’t going to inhale that tiny speck of dust on the shelf and die.  they’d much rather spend time with you than watch you spend time cleaning.  don’t get me wrong… i love a clean house.  : )

3. If you could be any fruit what would you be and why? This is a deep one.

i’d be a raspberry.  such a tasty, sweet, beautiful, perfectly proportioned little thing.  i want to be full of sweetness just like lil miss raspberry.  she also has the best darn complexion – such a gorgeous hue of redness.

4. What has been your favorite part of blogging?

getting to know other moms and realizing i’m not the only “unprofessional” one around.  i remember someone saying that the blog world allows moms to learn a lot from each other.  i do completely agree with that, but even more so, i think it’s about other mom’s saying they feel clueless just like i do.  there’s comfort in that…  knowing that we are all just trying to do what we think is best even though we don’t always know what that may be.

5. What are 3 of your “go-to” stores for being a hot mama/homemaker?

is it okay to say target???  or does that completely disqualify me as a “hot” mama?  i do love charlotte russe.  i know, i know, there are a lot of trashy things in there, but if you weed through it, you can find some adorable {and modest} things that happen to be trendy.  i adore tj maxx and marshalls.  because who doesn’t love name brands for less?!  oh, and banana republic.  as long as it’s the outlet.  i am head over heals for world market.  everything in my house is from there.  okay, sorry.. that’s way more than 3.  i guess it takes a lot for me to be a hot mama!

Go check her out you will be
an immediate follower! Thanks to everyone who participated in my Dwell Studio Giveaway via allmodern.com!! I’ll be announcing the winner tomorrow!

Yah, knowing that you are more than blogging buddies or COULD BE is oh so awesome. This is QUITE interesting. I’ve often thought of opening my blog up for questions and then I think OH NO, but a blogger I trust…now THAT is a different story.
