Candy Sushi

May 29, 2018

Sometimes you need to play with your food!
We had fun creating Candy Sushi for Sophia’s emoji party and
today I’m sharing the details on this funny treat!
Whether you are looking for a clever recipe for your party table
or just a fun dessert idea for the kids, this is sure to get the giggles!

Candy Sushi Ingredients:
Fruit by the foot.
Swedish fish
Gummy Worms
Store bought (or homemade) Rice Krispie Treats.

Candy Sushi Steps:
To create the candy sushi I just shaped my store bought Rice Krispie treats into the right shape.
I used the fruit by the foot to wrap the sushi.
I always have the kids unwrap things as a way they can help with the part prep.
They love being put to work!
So for this treat they unwrapped both the fruit by the foot and the rice krispie treats.
A dollar bag of Swedish fish and gummy worms are all you really need!
I cut the gummy worms ends off for little tips and smooshed them into the middle.
The Swedish fish are placed on top of the Rice Krispies and then wrapped with the fruit by the foot.
I liked how the yellow and green part of the fruit by the foot looked so we
stuck with those flavors or cut off the blue or red parts. The kids had no problem eating the scraps. ;)
Have fun and enjoy your candy sushi!

We used these sushi treats, paired with the sushi emoji label, on the dessert table!
It was such a fun party filled with other silly recipes.
Did you see the Rice Krispie turkey legs?? YUP. the kids were cracking UP.
