When you think about it that way, feels like the most important thing to have on a to-do list. 🥹

When people see me out with just my littles they will tell me, “trust me it goes by fast! soon they’ll be driving!”

Little do they know, I’m living that season with my oldest already and I feel the time flying by all too well.
But I think ahead to when the kids are all grown up, a chapter I haven’t gotten to yet but I know will zoom up on me too… and I hope it’s filled with its own special versions of these moments.🥹

There’s a few things here for me when it comes to my girls: ⬇️

I try my hardest not to give them the script for negative self talk…so being mindful of language is really important and not focusing on flaws. Instead trying to speak positively about myself is helping set the tone for my girls to have a healthy body image.

I can’t say I’ve always hid having insecurities from my girls, but I think it’s natural feelings they may face too and I try to use those moments, where I catch myself being negative, to turn it around and show I’m trying to improve my own self talk too.

I try to encourage open communication so they feel they can always come to me. Too often girls (and moms!) try to work through body image emotions on their own. Sometimes someone listening and speaking truth to us is really what we need.

Having daughters (and sons) motivates me everyday- because I want to lead by example, that I value myself for who I am not just how I look. Taking it one day at a time: It’s the little convos and interactions everyday that add up to making a lasting positive impact on our kids! 🩷

Traveling with kids- no matter how many- can be a challenge. It’s just part of kids being kids!

Driving home Ben and I looked at each other like- we did it! Haha. It’s always worth it because these are the memories we will look back on and remember. These are the moments engrained in my mind that make my heart full! 🥹

But YES… I need a nap from “vacation.” 😅
