Makeup Favorites- Drugstore Finds

February 17, 2021

I like to start most mornings with a quick 5 minute makeup look! It helps me feel productive and ready to tackle the day!
I am always looking for good drugstore makeup finds. It’s fun! Today I wanted to share some of my current favorites and why I like them!

My current makeup looks are quick and minimal with an emphasis on looking as rested as possible. haha. Sound like something you want too?
I like when products can be used easily…they blend well and can even be used in multiple areas. example: My bronzer is sometimes my eyeshadow too!
Here’s a run down of current products I’m loving, how I use them and why I love them.

First up, Mascara!
I’ve been a diehard Maybelline Full n’ Soft Girl since high school.. and I still have not in my make up bag.
But I wanted to give a couple new ones a try the past couple months and I’m loving them.
The Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High one was tricky to find..most of my Targets were sold out. But I finally got my hands on it. Thoughts: The want itself helps you really get defined-non clumpy- lashes! So I’ve been using that as my normal go-to. I have it in black but want to get it in dark brown. Before I got the Sky High one I had been using the Maybelline Falsies Lashlift Waterproof and I love that one for the volume! The wand is thicker and so it can tend to clump up easier..but I feel like it makes the lashes thicker looking. Try brown mascara! It’s my new favorite thing….feels more natural!

My favorite shadow primer is the e.l.f shadow lock eyelid primer sheer. I’ve tried others and they always end up creasing more so I’m back to my favorite. I saw this no budge shadow stick by e.l.f. in rose gold and have LOVED it! I like to use that first…and then to “set” it I’ll tap some of my Milani baked highlighter in Champagne on it. Just adds to the shine but gives a nice shadow to my lids. Super quick. Sometimes I also will just use my bronzer (mentioning below) and then put the highlighter over that.

Here’s the bronzer I’ve been using and loving. It makes me look ALIVE. haha. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer – Sunkissed. I try to put it on the tops of my cheekbones (rather than in the hollows of my cheeks like I used too.) Instead of using it to define that shadow…I’ll use it where the sun would naturally kiss my skin! I’ve been using this Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink and I love the way it melts into my skin and feels very natural but a good pop of color. I have been trying the new trick of putting it up higher by your temple and not hitting your front cheek bones. (It’s supposed to I’ve you a “face lift”) Play around with your blush placement..sometimes it’s nice to try something new!

This is my go-to foundation! The blue one is light coverage and feels more natural. (glowy)
Loreal Infallible Pro-Glow 202
The red one is the one I ten to grab when my skin isn’t looking it’s best- It is a heavier coverage. (matte)
Loreal Infallible Pro-Matte 101

I had my eyebrows micro bladed and I am overdue to get them touched up…but I’m nursing. So for now, I was looking for something that would work and this has been great! Arches & Halo Microblading Pen in Warm Brown. I like to brush upwards in my brows using it….let it dry for a hot minute and then I’ll use the spoolie to brush up my brows and help erase any hard lines. I like it softer looking these days! I used to use a powder on my brows..but it would melt away so easily..this holds up way better throughout the day.

For lips, I’m a Carmex girl! Always swipe some on before bed.. and swipe some on as I’m doing my makeup.
I love these Revlon ColorStay lipsticks. I wear one every day!
Revlon ColorStay Ultimate Suede-Silhouette
Revlon ColorStay-HighHeels
Revlon ColorStay-Preview

I hope you found this post helpful!
