Moving into our New Construction Home!

April 28, 2021

After months of the building process, we officially closed on our new house last week and it still feels unreal! I’m so grateful for this next chapter in our family’s story and all the memories we will make in this home!

As Ben and I drove from closing back to the house, I joked that I want to just get in the house and never leave. haha. And basically that’s what I’ve been doing while we unpack!Ā The day we got the keys my face hurt from smiling and my feet hurt from holding a kid and a box lol. The first couple days we were in survival mode till after the 6 kids went to bed but WOW it feels so good to be HOME.

Most of our married life were filled with years of moving for ministry. When we first got back to Charlotte, we set a goal to plant our roots in two years and work to hit big goals…and we did it!Ā Grateful to be one mile from both my parentsā€™ and my sisterā€™s house.Ā God is good!
We used NetMove for our move and the kids appreciated all the wrapping paper they used. haha. As I was unpacking fragile things, I made a huge pile of the paper and the kids were loving it!! We all got in on the action-even Ben- WATCH OUR REEL.

Just a couple of superhero buds hanging out in their new kitchen. :)
The light in this house is freaking amazing ?!?!?!? the photographer in me is so happy! haha. (These are with my iPhone!)
These two have been busy zooming around saving the day.

I snapped these in our sunroom…for a brand instagram giveaway…and the lighting in here is going to make my job as a blogger so much easierrrrrrr. All of the windows and the great lighting makes it feel so dreamy in here!

We have our new sofas arriving today- woohoo- but for a lot of the spaces we are using what we currently have and figuring out what we need to eventually update. So far, the downstairs boxes are mostly unpacked but the upstairs kid rooms are my next hurdle. GAH. We have new room set ups now… so needing to make a game plan on how to have the spaces function and be organized. I’ll keep you guys updated on that!

Still lots to do but we are IN THE HOUSE finally!!! Taking baby steps as we settle in…but if you know me you know I am itching to hang some frames on the walls! haha.
Canā€™t wait to take you guys along on how we are making our house a home. šŸ’• Thanks for being here!
