Our Christmas 2013 in Charlotte

January 2, 2014

For the first time in five years all of my siblings and our families were able
to be together at my parent’s house for Christmas.
It was a FUN 8+ hour drive but well worth it!
Here’s some snap shots of our fun.
Sorry it’s all phone photos…but we are busy with shipping week for our
January HAPPY MOMMY BOX and I knew if I waited to edit our camera
photos this post would be happening weeks from now. haha.
I made a video today and just e-mailed it to my family…
I am so glad we have these memories!
You can check the video out at the bottom of the post.

Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!
Happy Birthday Baby Jesus!
CHRISTMAS MORNING!!!! Hiding out waiting for the rest of the cousins to wake up…
what!? no one else wants to do christmas at 5:15 am like my kids?!…….. lol.
Grandma got all the cousins matching pajamas from carters…crazy cute.

Santa brought each of the girls a My Generation Doll…looks just like them. ;)
They also go dress up clothes that santa got on discount after halloween.
The girls got little back packs because they are all about packing up toys and “traveling” around the house.
They each got a “soft guy” that they LOVE.. yes..both boy themed ones but santa aims to please..and thats their faves ;)
They also got makeup…..which they had at the top of their santa list. lots of lipstick going on in this house.
Micah’s big santa present was the ride on toy and the little people noah’s ark set.
He also had a little dog stuffed animal that barks and wiggles.
He will spontaneously happily freak out on it.

I AM SO EXCITED… For Christmas my husband got me a tripod
(JUST WHAT I NEEDED..mine kept falling over if I breathed on it.)
AND…he and my best friend mandy’s husband went behind our backs and planned for us both to unwrap a frame
that said “weekend getaway with your bestie!”
I thought it was a joke at first…I can’t imagine a vacation without kids just for fun…
what?!? I’m still in shock. and dreaming of a warm place. We are still deciding where
we are going to go. Any suggestions?? ;)
I gave my husband a Ninja and an espresso maker.
He has used it every day. multiple times. so..it’ a favorite. ;)
He made me a cafe mocha with it yesterday….. uhhh. HEAVENLY.
I gifted each of my siblings, and also my parents, with a print from Jessi of Naptime Diaries.
She has a great shop and family and heart and I had so much fun
picking out who got which print.
I also made up a DVD of videos I randomly took one
visit –“Backyard Dancing” for my parents and sister.
I shared that video on my blog yesterday! It made everyone smile REALLY BIG…
and maybe cry a little… so that made my heart happy.

We had a cook out in the back yard by the creek! hot dogs and smokes.
Sienna was into it. Micah was ready for bed.
and Sophia was scheming how she could sweetly snag another smore.
Isn’t that dorothy get up too much?!?! haha…. grandma has fun dress ups.

I remember growing up having a photo of my grandparents holding and sitting with all of their grandkids at the time…
THIS is our version! So crazy… and so awesome.
Love these little ones and can’t wait to add more to the mix.
They have so much fun together.
My aunt sent these cute pajamas for all the cousins! From Hanna Andersson!

Here are all my siblings and their families!
Love each of them so much. Proud of everything they are doing and who they have
become! David started DCD Agency and my sister Val started Blanqi.
My brother Daniel is in atlanta but I picture him in the white house soon enough. ;)

Love that they jump on board when I say..
HEY! Let’s do a #christmasdancewars video when the kids go to bed……
Used david’s sweet video skills, my sister in laws dance skills and our late night shenanigans to pull this off… so fun!
Sophia definitely woke up near the end of the takes
(took us 3 tries or so to get the timing right) we kept joking that she was going to
think this is what the mommies and daddies get to do when the kids go to bed. ;)

 God made uncles for wrestlingggggg!
Sienna held her own.

We had WAY too much fun with these babies all together!
Cuteness overload!
All of these babies were born within one year.
My mom nicknamed them the MVP’S.
That’s what their names in birth order spell.
Micah, Violette, Peter and Shelby. The ‘ is for sweet angel baby michael.
So excited to have a whole batch of cousins close in age.
I was lucky to have this and loved it!

Did you share a recap on your christmas?? link below in your
comments so I can see! I LOVE Christmas.. kinda sad that Christmas day is over
but happy to be celebrating Christmas Season still!
Pretty sure we have one more week!
Thanks to my wonderful parents for hosting us Christmas Week.
LOVE ALL OF YOU!

Dear Nathalie, thanks for sharing. This is the kind of Christmas I wish we had. My husbands family all live overseas and I have one brother who is not married, so it is a much quieter Christmas in our house. It is great to be able to see how others celebrate
