The Yeti Nano from Blue Microphones – A Tech Tool to Improve your Child’s Virtual Learning!

September 25, 2020

Today I’m sharing a product that has helped boost confidence in my middle schooler who has virtual learning classes! I have the Yeti Nano USB microphone from Blue Microphones set up for our virtual learning days and it’s been awesome! I want Sophia’s questions to be clear and her ideas to be understood. It’s a strange time and if there’s a way for me to help her feel more confident and HEARD…I’m all in. Starting Middle School can be tough enough, I love that I can help her out in this area and make her voice heard!

Do you have a child who speaks quietly during their class zooms? Or maybe you’re wanting to make it a more fun experience or boost their confidence?
Remote Schooling is a new way of life for many of us and as parents, we want our children’s voices to be heard in these new virtual classrooms! With Blue Microphones, our kids can have professional quality audio. Sophia uses the adaptor to plug it into her ipad. She doesn’t have to tilt the mic at all…she just talks right into the front part of it. We got this adapter so that we could use this mic with her iPad!

This is an important family tool for this day and age… where so much of the way we connect with people is online! Do you do Zooms for work? The microphones in your computer are extremely small, which limits their ability to capture sound well. They also pick up a lot of outside noise. Most laptop mics are typically placed near the keyboard or webcam and usually amplify the sound of your typing. ALSO..since you can’t move the microphone closer to your mouth you end up getting nice and close to the keyboard/screen and let’s just say it’s not always the best look for video conferences. haha.

AN AWESOME FEATURE:
Sophia has 5 siblings…. soo sometimes the house gets loud or a certain 2 year old little brother might pop in to see what she’s up to. ;)
I love how clear and easy it is for Sophia to be able to mute her mic when on a zoom with her class. The indicator light is great. Yeti Nano will illuminate green to indicate it’s on. When muted, it will glow red. (This is also a great feature for those work zooms we are doing from home with kiddos at our feet! Easy press of the button and you are in the clear of kids loudly requesting MORE snacks. ;)

Blue is trusted by millions around the world to raise their voice, whether they are creating, streaming or working & learning from home. We are using our Yeti Nano for zoom calls but it’s going to be a handy tech tool to have in our home! We are just now interacting with my parent’s…but most of our contact has been virtual. I like that with this microphone I can set it up and help my parents’ clearly hear all their grandkids!

YOU NEVER LOSE QUALITY!:
One thing to keep in mind is that all of the Blue Microphones are great quality! The price points only go up with more bells and whistles. But you can get the basic one like I did and know you’re getting their best microphone quality!

I hope this post was helpful as we all navigate this new remote learning world!
If you’re looking for a way to help your child’s experience be better, be sure to check out Blue Microphones!
