Tips and Tricks of Photo-Editing: You take a bunch…make them awesome!

March 11, 2010

Well the baby is sleeping..the husband is out with the boys (from church..he’s not a wild child) and i just reached into the gummy bear stash…
time to write a post!

I don’t consider myself a pro when it comes to photo-editing..but i enjoy it and like the way that the photos turn out! I had my camera for a year before i read the manual!! i still have a lot to learn but i’ve found that i’ve learned so much from looking up tutorials online! You spent money on your camera..put it to use! As busy as i am..i love to take photos so that i have these memories captured! Plus i use a lot of our photos instead of artwork around the house to decorate.. i like how it’s personal and saves me from buying artwork to fill up the walls. Some of you have asked me to pass on the info.. so here are some favs that i found. have fun!

I use Photoshop..and although you should play around with the settings yourself, sometimes it fun and easier to use an action!
 a lot of these sites have great ones.

{1.}
here’s a great site that can explain a lot
Love this site…and it’s full of great tips and tutorials!! go explore!

{2.}
She has some amazing photoshop actions that i love
and use all the time! She also explains really well how to use your camera!

if you need any help or have any questions just shoot me an e-mail!
 i love this kind of stuff. I have folders of my favorite edited images..and for christmas my husband surprised me by putting together a photo-book of a bunch of my favorites!! i love it..and think you should hint that to your husband if you are still trying to think of a birthday present for yourself this year.

…………………………………………….

Now here’s some photos i took today of my family.. i’m so happy i captured some sweet moments with sophia and daddy. :)

every time she heard a dog bark she made that surprised face..and then started panting like a dog. not sure where she got that one….

no dance party is complete without a tutu and bunny ears.
(when she wants to dance she brings me her tutu and says pretty!)

oh and here’s an updated preggo pic! 18 weeks! i feel huge and hormonal. haha.

does anyone else take a gazillion photos like me??

    Are those sites free to use or is it something where you have to pay a monthly fee/buy a program? I love all the pics! I’m clueless when it comes to fixing pics. I don’t exactly have the money to buy a pricey camera either so usually my photos are pretty blah.

    I do! I love to take pictures. I haven’t done anything really with them, they’re in a box, or on my computer. However, I love to capture moments in time. Thanks for the tips, I’ll definitely try some out
