VTech Connect to Cell Phone System: They gave me my ‘Mommy Space’ back!

July 28, 2013

Do your kids like to ask you for things when you are on the phone? MINE DO.

Sometimes I feel like my house is going to burst from the energy in it!
It’s not always crying..even the happy noises are loud!
Something is always going on…;)

I don’t even know…….
I remember one day I was trying to have a conversation with my mom, ben was home, and they would NOT leave me alone. So he told me to just lock myself in our room.
I remember telling my mom, as I sat there on my bed talking…
how the girls were silently sending “things” (anything that would fit)..under the door. Papers…magazines.. there little fingers were pushing stuff through just to let me know
“HEY MOM…WE ARE HERE!”……………….
My mom thought it was hilarious because she remembered us kids doing the same thing!
hilarious………

My room is my me space when on the phone.
But I wasn’t always able to chat in there.

We recently moved.. and It took a few dropped calls to realize
that we had a da da da…..
dead zone!
It’s in our hallway/bedrooms.. We have a one level house..so before, in order to get some quiet while on the phone, I would have to go to the basement or outside.
BUT….
One day ben brought home VTech Connect to Cell Phone System and
all of a sudden my dead zone is gone!

I was recently approached by VTech to share their system…
and since I already have it in my house and LOVE it..I said sure!
They even sent an upgraded version with an answering machine attached!
(it’s ally shiny and pretty too. ;)
If you want more info check out the details here.
We have one in our house and love it.

You connect your cell phone to Bluetooth and you have
the ease and comfort of a home phone system!
I just place the base in the area where I get the best service (kitchen) and then use the phone’s cordless handset anywhere in the house! preferably away from noisy kids.

I also love that you can download to it your cell phone directory.

Right now we only have two handsets..but you can add up to five!
That way you can avoid the mad dash to pick up the cell when it rings…
and have a handset in a few of the rooms!
I’m always running trying to find my cell…only to miss the call.

It’s always nice to share things that we have in our house and love…
hope you check it out! It’s a great solution.

On a side note…I love when the play quietly without scratching,
pinching or hair pulling.
:::sigh::: sisters. ;)

Do you need a landline to use it?

This is just what I needed! My fiancé and I recently moved and we get no service…bummer. We always have to go outside to talk on our phones, it’s not bad now but come winter I won’t be wanting to talk to anyone out there haha. Thanks for posting this, I will be investing in it =)

My daughter is the same way! She will sit there and say “mom, mom, mom, mom” until I answer her. Or she grabs the phone and wants to talk to whomever I’m on the phone with. She is either talking on it or downloading games. (she’s only 4!)

Does it kill your cell phone battery to be attached via bluetooth? hmm, curious.

Been a reader for a year plus, but never commented till now! Read this at the perfect time after moving into a house with many dead spots. After reading this, I bought a system and we love it! It’s not perfect but its a huge improvement over losing a call from moving the phone from my left hand to my right hand! Thanks for telling us all about this! I literally talked to my Dad last weekend and the call dropped 10 times. Now we can have an actual conversation while I get stuff done like taking the dogs out to the yard or doing dishes! Yay! -Nora
