Sausage, Egg & Biscuits Recipe

July 12, 2013

It’s another edition of iPhone Food Blogger!
woohoo.
(the fundraiser for my new project will be at the start
of next week. I’ll keep you posted!)

This Sausage Egg & Biscuit recipe has been passed down through my family!
When I first got married..I called up my grandmother to get the recipe.
It is… amazing. And you should make it this weekend for your family.
You will be their favorite person. they might even ask to do the dishes
and tell you to go sleep in a little more. but you will, if nothing else, be praised for
your amazingness in the kitchen.
The recipe comes together pretty easy and quickly.
Once you make it one time..You’ll be able to make it without looking up a recipe!

SAUSAGE, EGG & BISCUITS
INGREDIENTS:
1 Pack of Sausage.
2 TB Flour
Eggs
2-2.5 cups Milk
Can of Biscuits
Pepper
STEPS:
1. Set some eggs to boil. however many you want!
I usually make up a batch and save some for egg salad later in the week.
2. Brown up your sausage.
3. Once the Sausage is browned up..(turn stove off.) drain the grease off.
sometimes I even pat the pan with a paper towel..
then return the sausage to the pan.(turn stove back on)
4. Add 2 TB flour (or enough to do a light coating on the sausage!)
I sometimes add a little more to stretch it if I’m making it for a crowd.
Stir it around and cook off the flour taste.
5. Pour in milk (around 2 cups) to cover the sausage
and a little more. stir often.
6. Put the biscuits in the oven while the sausage gravy thickens.
7. Pour the biscuits out.. your gravy should be thickened up by now..
I sometimes add a little more milk to thin it out.
8. Peel your eggs, slice them up, and you are ready to go!
Layer up the deliciousness…and enjoy!
This recipe is very toddler approved!
add some fruit..and it’s even more of a yummy breakfast!
 I am NOT a morning person. But…
Something about making a “real” and delicious breakfast for my family
makes me enjoy the morning moments more.
Thumbs up from sienna.

Let me know if you try it!!
I usually make this when we have company over…
It’s a stick to your ribs good ol southern cooking recipe that everyone loves.
