Blessings, Bible Camp and Swag Bags

July 16, 2013

Right now I dream event planning and airplane building.
seriously.
I like to DO things. It’s my love language. (I think?)

My job at our church is to do the fun stuff like plan Vacation Bible School!
This year we are doing an AWESOME theme: Radical Ride on the Wings of Prayer!
So of course…we need an airplane.
We have our festival coming up and we have a booth to help with the promotions!
I had this crazy idea in my head..and my husband and his buddy made it happen!
best husband ever.
I’ll do a full post on the airplane after this crazy busy week. :)
BUT… the front end is a lazy susan from IKEA that is going to
be our “wheel” that the kids can spin and get a prize.
(that part of the plane isn’t done yet)
THE PAINT COLOR: is sea wave from Lowe’s.

It’s been SOOO EXCITING seeing the Meet+Greet I’ve imagined come to life!
All the brands have been sending in goodies for our swag bags.
We have 27 girls coming and I’m excited to connect with them
and gift them with some fun stuff!
can’t wait to share all the fun details I’ve been working on..
and the great space at IKEA Pittsburgh!
We have a great photographer that is covering the event so you can see all the fun.
Follow along before and during the event, friday 6-8, with #ovbloggers!
HUGE thank you to my girls Kacia(Coconutrobot.com) and
Angelique(Where The Piggy Toes Go.com) for helping my bag some swag ;)
They were my little busy bees helping iron on the logo I made for the event to our bags.
they turned out so cute! and they made up really fast.
I made up a cute print to go with my business card package.
I want my blog to have a positive and encouraging vibe…
and I think we need to tell ourselves this more. :)
Safety first.
even for princesses.
Her princess gear were some of the fun loot they picked
up at while at a princess play date with The Sweeter Side of Mommyhood!
So glad we connected and that our kids could play!
And that she still likes me even after one of my kids decided to hate the
world during the play date. bahaha. #princessproblems
Every day should end with reading HGTV Magazine and a slice of cake.
I bought this magazine purely for the Young House Love Article.
Did not disappoint. Super inspired.
 Forced smiles.
say cheese.
 he likes the donuts.
I can’t blame him.
donuts are delicious.
I also have been amazed at the incredible response of my book’s kickstarter.
You guys are making my ugly cry.
Thank you for being such blessings in my life and for your support.
I am realizing that this project is bigger than me or my own grief and healing..
the e-mails have been pouring in from fellow mothers who have experienced loss.
The stories are incredible. I feel such a connection with this community of women!
Maybe I’ll ask to share some of them..because hearing their stores makes me realize how we all are in need of healing..and that makes me want to be a KIND person. do you know what I’m talking about?? Sometimes it’s easy for us to think everyone around us has it all pulled together.. but so many of us are going through hardships
and need the support and kindness of others. BE KIND TODAY! :)

We started the fundraiser last night and already are 1/3rd of the way there!
God is good!
