My first baby is suddenly in middle school! Don’t ask me HOW we are already here..but we are and it’s bitter sweet! I love seeing the young lady Sophia is growing into but when I look at her, I will forever picture her my first little one! I recently had a special few days with just her and the baby and one of our “fun things” we planned was a middle school photo shoot! (Ben had taken the 4 middle kids to visit family while I buckled down on organizing/packing here with less distractions.) For the photo shoot….I let Sophia pick out two new outfits while we were at the store and the next night we went and took some photos of her. It was so fun seeing her feel so beautiful and special. She shines from the inside out!
I shared some of the photos on Instagram and got flooded with DM’s asking what product we used in her hair- SO today I wanted to share the two products that worked wonders on her curls. She was so happy one day after school…telling me multiple people had asked her what she uses in her hair. I know how curly hair girls are always trying to find something that works- so here ya go!

It’s pretty wild when your little girl suddenly can shop in the same section as you! We do most of our shopping at Target and Old Navy and we look in both the kid and the adult sections.
She was so excited about her jeans and this jurassic park shirt. Even though spring is around the corner I liked the cardigan she chose from Target because it’s a light color and would be a great layer. Doesn’t she look so cute?

I’m so glad we have this little photoshoot to capture this time in her life! She has such a cute sense of style and fun personality. I would wear these outfits she chose. haha. I used my iPhone for these photos and we had a good time looking through the pics and choosing favorites. Of course there was some silly ones where I caught her being silly or talking to me and she laughed so hard at them. These were her favorites that she wanted to share. :) This little photoshoot time is always going to be a special memory we look back on. Kids grow up so fast!

Have you looked into the Curly Girl Method? There are so many steps to start and then it becomes habit, at least that is what I have been told Lol!
These were great pictures and what a precious idea to do middle school photo shoot! Smartphone cameras are amazing and take really nice pictures! I have sons, but like this idea because you could tell your daughter really enjoyed taking these pictures. They will probably be something she pulls out when she is older with fond memories <3 Thank you for sharing the curly hair tips and this moment in your family's life :) :) :)
