Christmas 2023 Home Tour

January 12, 2024

In today’s post I’m excited to share spaces of our home that we decorated for the Holiday. I always love seeing how people decorate and celebrate Christmas, and if you do too, this post is for you! It really felt like HOME this year…that feeling when you open up a decoration box and know exactly where you are going to put things because they now have a “spot” and you have traditions! We’ve moved a lot in our family life…and this feeling felt SO NICE. Who knows what the future holds, but this Christmas was a special one. Everyone was healthy! Everyone got along (if you know you know haha) and it really is my favorite day of the year as a mom. With 6 kids it’s OVER THE TOP joy and loudness and happy. It’s amazing. I’ll be sharing all the Christmas Day fun in my next post – with plenty of links if you are curious about the kids’ favorite gifts. But for today…let’s dive into home decor!

PS. You can see all my shared home finds in my Amazon page and LTK page. But email or comment with any questions and I’ll help you out!
I shared this space over on Instagram as well: Home Tour, Play Room, Family Room.

Here is our entry way and foyer. You can see the tree right as you walk in! I love that our playroom is right there as you walk in…a fun whimsical space that my little ones love! My kids also love being able to look up and have the garland twinkling upstairs!

I always have so much fun decorating the playroom for Christmas!

Our family room/kitchen is an open floor plan and home base for our family. This year we got a bigger tree and it was an awesome find from Lowe’s on sale. We always put out our little white houses on the shelves…I usually put lights in them but this year the season just went by so fast I never got to that! The stocking on the mantel are my favorite…the kids always choose an ornament to hang with their stocking. It’s usually an old one they love but we usually add a few new ornaments each year and they will pick one out at the store. We started that tradition years ago and now it’s something they always look forward to.

Here is our kitchen area. It’s the little pieces that make it officially feel like Christmas. Like the Christmas mugs (we have hot cocoa every other day it seems haha.) and then of course the White Christmas tree with lights..a version of the one I had as a child. :) I love the garland I have around the window. I just used two from Hobby Lobby and added lights to it. The sparkle, at the sink at night, is so magical!

Our sunroom is off our kitchen area. I love how much light it brings to our space. This year I put out all of the nutcrackers. That’s the boys’ collection..every year they get a new one and it’s become a fun tradition. Most are missing a limb or accessory haha because Chase plays with them DAILY. But I love it!
