We were recently invited by the Hampton Inn & Suites Charlotte/South Park to come visit and experience the amazing LEGO and American Girl packages they offer! I surprised the kids with this and it was THE BEST! They were so excited and counting down the hours till we left for our “staycation.” Staying at a hotel is so fun for my kids and they were giddy that we were going to take the hotel shuttle to the South Park Mall (2 minutes away) to shop at the LEGO and American Girl store!
I love gifting experiences. You can make so many fun memories together that will last forever! Ben was the best hubby ever and kept the little ones so I could really focus on my three big kids and enjoy this time with them. In today’s post I’m going to share all the details on Hampton Inn’s fun packages!

It’s so awesome how Hampton Inn has two different packages you can choose from. You can also combine them in your one stay! So for us, we had Sienna do the American Girl package. My two LEGO lovers, Micah and Sophia, did the LEGO package! Maybe you have a boy who loves LEGO and a little girl who loves American Girl Dolls… this is a great experience gift you can do all together!
We arrived at the Hampton Inn and immediately the fun began!! The pink carpet was rolled out for our American Girl, Sienna! She had her name on a little sign and was given the sweetest welcome.
We were the first to experience the LEGO package! Micah and Sophia loved seeing their names on the LEGO sign! The Hampton Inn team took photos of the kids (for a special surprise I’ll share later) and then with all the giggles… we headed up to the hotel room!
Inside the hotel room there were surprises for the kids!! On one bed the Hampton Inn team had set up a whole LEGO welcome package. Look at all these fun goodies! Micah and Sophia were so excited to see the LEGO store gift cards! and a LEGO cookie!
On the other bed was the American Girl set up and Sienna freaked over the pink sheets and all the doll accessories they had out for her! Look at the cute doll bed! The little sign told her there was milk in the mini fridge for her doll and her to enjoy with their cookie. The details were so cute!
After hanging in the hotel room for a bit, checking out all the things, haha…we headed back downstairs to hop on the shuttle and check out the South Park Mall! It’s such a gorgeous Mall and the kids were excited to use their gift cards at the American Girl and LEGO store! Kid dreams coming true. ;)
We did some shopping and then ate dinner in the food court – it had been forever since we had done that! I loved the little conversations we had. Slowing down and being able to just focus in on them was so nice.
Once we finished, we headed back for more hotel fun!At check-in they had told the kids they were able to choose 2 items from their treat shop in the lobby! So when we got back to the hotel, the kids had the best time picking out something yummy to take up to the room! Our house isn’t too far away…so Asher came over for the night’s hotel fun! :)
Everyone changed into pajamas and we popped some popcorn. Sienna, the little mother, put the popcorn in cups and passed them out haha. We watched tv, played with our LEGOs and chatted! We stayed up entirely too late!
The fun didn’t end though! We woke up and had a slow morning in the hotel room…just hanging out. The kids discovered envelopes, with their names on it, had been slid under the door! Inside was the sweetest note and the photos that the Hampton Inn team had taken at check-in. The kids were so happy to have this little souvenir to take home with them!
We all got ready for the day and headed downstairs for the complimentary breakfast. They had a great set up going with the staff serving you whatever you wanted. The room was so bright and pretty – we had a yummy breakfast before heading back upstairs to pack up and head home. (Throwing coins in the fountain before we left!)
I’m so thankful for this fun experience I was able to have with my kids. They are only little so long and this was such a great time!
