Summer Entertaining: DIY Simple Summer Table Setting

June 19, 2010

I love this table setting and video from Remodelista.com
simple, lovely and budget friendly ideas to kick your summer entertaining up a notch!

take a vase or jar and load with fresh flowers from your garden (or from the store.. the more wild the better. hehe.)

use scraps of leather to create your own rustic napkin holders.
they used inexpensive tea towels as their napkins.

recycle your wine and beer bottles..soak off the labels and place a taper candle in them to create this elegant “wow” factor centerpiece.

fill your tree’s with these lovely creations if you are hosting something in the evening!
pottery barn sells these but you could easily create your own with a mason jar and some wire.

oh and if you are still not sure what to do for your dad or hubby for father’s day… check out my past post on an awesomely cheap diy present with free printables from oh happy day ..it has a fun real-life-super hero theme! happy saturday. :)

great ideas here. i used mason jars like that for my wedding center pieces. we tied simple green and yellow ribbon around the edge to throw in the theme colors, then my aunt arranged the assortment of flowers we had. daisies, wax flowers, and so on. then we had the little mason jelly jars with candles in them. it was pretty sweet.
