My 10 Favorite Baby Items

March 15, 2018

Fifth time around with a baby and these are my current faves!
The must have items for those wild and sweet days of motherhood!
I should note that sweet baby #5 has been my fussiest yet.
I have had to try and figure out what works best and how to soothe him.
Excited to share these picks with any new or expecting moms – Tried and true Favorites!

I’m a busy mama of five, on a budget, and have loved finding things
that work well for us – Here you go!

Little Remedies Advanced Colic Relief Drops
I shared this product earlier this month because it SAVED my mama sanity. haha.
In this blog post: Favorite Thing to Soothe A Fussy Baby When Traveling
I shared more about all of the things we have tried to soothe Hunter…
These Little Remedies Colic Relief drops were the only thing that I saw so clearly calmed him down.
Results within 10 minutes! If you have a baby that is crying and just not relaxing and
you have tried ALL THE THINGS… try this!

MAM pacifiers
I always used the pacifiers from the hospital… but Hunter decided they weren’t his thang. ;)
I tried a few different brands but these MAM pacifiers are the only ones he will take!

myBaby SoundSpa Portable Machine
With a house full of kids, it’s hard to get it totally silent for napping babies.
But this noise maker is our miracle worker. Ben and I joke that we have sleep trained ourselves with it too
and get immediately tired when we hear it! ;)
The kids don’t HAVE to have it to sleep, but it for sure makes nap time happen easier when we use it.

Evenflo Exersaucer Door Jumper, Owl
We love love jumpers! 1. They are so handy and 2. I could watch a baby jump and giggle in one all day! ;)
The first one we used finally kicked the bucket so we replaced it with this one off Amazon.
I love that you can hook it to a doorframe, doesn’t take a bunch of space, and babies love them!

Elephant Stuffed Animal
When I was pregnant with Hunter, I saw some cute photos of babies propped up
against this stuffed elephant and thought it was the sweetest!
Santa ended up bringing it for baby Hunter! It’s from IKEA but he got it off Amazon.
It’s a special stuffed animal that will always take me back to how tiny he was!
I also use it like a boppy pillow for nursing.

TULA Carrier
I used a different carrier with the kids – but for some reason Hunter was NOT a fan.
I borrowed a friend’s Ergo and He loved it. I went to the store to get a sturdy wrap and found the Tula!
I mainly got it because 1. it was on sale and 2. I liked the black and star pattern better!
(They have a bunch of different patterns to choose from.)
This is my life saver! With five kids I needed to be hands free.
For those really fussy days, wearing him and giving him the Paci
is the easiest way to calm him down and get him to sleep! For a stretch there I didn’t even try to put him back
in his swing or bed and just had him sleep on me so I could get some thing done.
or have a moment of no nursing or crying ;) I would just sit in my chair and soak up the sweet
baby silence, snuggles and smell, kissing his head!

Graco Fastaction Fold Sport Click Connect Travel System Stroller, Gotham
This is our current stroller and car seat situation!
LOVE the stroller! It is easy to steer and with a little oomph you can close it one handed.
(Wish that was a tad easier but we’ve had worse.)
Once you practice it a few times it’s pretty nice how it folds up. Fits in our trunk easy.
Love that we have cupholders for both the adults and the kiddos.
The colors are nice and neutral too which I prefer.
The car seat is pretty light weight feeling (which is nice because my babies are chunky lol.)
It clicks into the stroller easy… we practiced a bunch at the store lol.
We also have a double stroller, but this is my preferred stroller to use
when I’m out with baby either by myself or with the bigger kids.
We use the double for park outings and bigger family adventures.

Fisher Price Sit Me Up Floor Seat
I want to just hug this contraption and tell it how much I LOVE IT. haha.
Hunter is so happy in it…just what he was wanting and MAMA was needing.
When my friend Kaylyn shared her baby using this I KNEW it was something I needed.
I loved that it was a seat, like how Hunter likes being buckled in his car seat watching us…but it’s more upright.
(Never leave your baby in the car seat half buckled!! Heard the saddest story.)
This is a great option for babies who are wanting to sit upright and be in all the action but aren’t there yet to do it on their own!
I like how it has little toys there and is soft padded in the front where Hunter can lean over and hang with us! :)

Graco Glider LX Baby Swing, Albie
This is where Hunter sleeps the most!
Buckle him in and the swinging and noises help keep him asleep.
Loved the color scheme of this swing and how it didn’t take up. much floor space.
We had another one and returned it because it took up so much space.
We haven’t set up the vibration part of the swing but it does have that option with batteries!
The top part can come off so you can choose to have the toys above or not.
