Mickey and the Roadster Racers Party Theme

August 2, 2017

We teamed up with Disney Junior for today’s blog post
all about Mickey and the Roadster Racers! My Micah man can’t get enough of the racing fun!
We are sharing some fun inspiration for a play date or party themed around this favorite Disney Junior show!
We love to celebrate in our house, and with a few little details you can have
fun with a theme and make some amazing memories together!
I’m excited to share these decor and treat ideas to help you easily pull together a
Mickey and the Roadster Racers themed party table!
You can scale it bigger or smaller depending on what you are doing.

I love how cheerful and positive Mickey is in this series and my
Micah loves seeing him ride his race car with his friends.
This is such a great theme to up a typical Mickey Mouse Party.
Boys love race cars and trophies so it’s the perfect combo to make them even more excited!
I took inspiration from the show to help me style the fun table.
We had the classic Mickey Mouse colors but then added in the
racer themed items and treats to pull it all together.
We found some party maracas that had Goofy and
Mickey in their race car gear and they were a hit with the kids.

New Disney Junior episodes premiere each “FRiYAY” morning this summer
on the Disney Channel and Micah is loving the new episodes of Mickey and the Roadster Racers!
All of my kids have their favorite character but Micah’s is for sure Mickey!
So when I told him we were going to do a fun party table for the blog, all about
his favorite racer Mickey, he was so excited!
I had the kids go in the other room while I styled the final table and set it all up.
It was fun seeing their faces when they walked in!

The treats were all easy to make and shared ingredients to make it budget friendly and simple to create.
We had stop light treats, chocolate donut and cookie tires, “nuts n bolts” cereal mix,
and Mickey Mouse ears chocolate pretzel bites! The kids loved making those so much
that we ended up doing little stoplight chocolate pretzel bites too.

Do your kids like blind bags right now?? Mine do.
So I added some to the table and we opened those right away.

When planning dessert tables, don’t get overwhelmed!
Focusing on a couple key themed touches can make it all come together.
For this party, the road table runner and the race flags were easy details that gave it that fun race car feel!
Also, using balloons for the backdrop immediately makes it feel like a party and is a great bang for your buck!
Plus, my kids love balloons! Or “booms” as Asher calls them. ;)
Everyone was a winner at this party! Each kid had a trophy filled with some treats.
I have a feeling those trophies are going to be used for lots of pretend races in our own house, inspired by the show!

We enjoyed some treats while we chatted about our favorite characters from the show.
Which character do your kids love the most??
I hope you found some party inspiration for your own Mickey loving racer!
We had fun putting together this theme and teaming up with Disney Junior.
Tune in on Fridays this summer to catch all the new episodes and you can
also visit DisneyJunior.com for fun Mickey and the Roadster Racer activities!
My big kids love checking the Disney Junior Facebook page for fun clips too!
